good & BAD

We never know what's good for us. It's better to just try our best and accept whatever comes. But you always have to try your best. In that way you'll rest in peace and you'll know that you have tested your strength and wisdom.

.....

People who pursue spiritual practice and those who don't are using the same resources. We use the mind, the body, and our intelligence. However, spiritual practice brings us happiness, and brings peace to the world and stability to our families. Using the same mind, we could destroy the world, ruin the Earth, or endanger all of humankind. Therefore, nothing is really good or bad in this world or universe. Things are bad when we use them in the wrong way, and they are good when we use them in the right way.

.....

Within the bad there exist the good. Just like roses have thorns, we can't always look at the thorns, we must gaze at the rose.

.....

When we get enlightenment, we will create a new heaven. And when we do something bad or sinful, we create a new hell. Do not think that hell exists already, waiting for you to fall into it. No, we create them. Heaven and hell are all our own creation.

.....

Why is this world always changing? It is for us to learn the lesson of always being prepared, of being on the alert. Do you know this? So, the world is neither good nor bad; it only depends on how we use it. Good or bad depends on how we use the situation to learn our lessons well. So, you understand now! You should be learning every moment. Spiritual practice goes on round the clock.

.....

Success or failure in this world is not the important objective. Sometimes failure is success and success is just failure. We need the wisdom eye to judge.

The most significant difference between the Buddha and the devil is - the Buddha is always giving, while the devil is always taking. It is the quality of the devil to occupy the time and space of other people.

Q. Is there right? Is there wrong? Any difference?

M. No? There is no difference? You need to ask me this? if you want to go out and steal another's wife, is that right? If you ask that person's husband he says no, and that is not right according to our human society's behavior and virtue. What's right and what's wrong, according to the law and according to the human standard, we must observe, without any excuse. We do not say I have become one with God and God has no discrimination. Right is wrong, wrong is right. No. No. No. We don't make this kind of nonsense excuse. Therefore to practice with me, with this method, I emphasize the virtues. One must take to heart the keeping of the commandments, the five principle commandments. Thou shall not kill, thou shall not steal, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not tell lies, thou shall not drink alcohol or take drugs, or do anything that makes our mind confused or body weak, or any kind of so-called films, movies that excite our passions and are no good for our quiet, and very calm nature. These are all called drugs, including films, gambling, and alcohol. These are all drugs. So these five commandments I may ask you to keep, if you want to join our circle of practice. You must not follow me in person, you must not do any service for me, you must not offer me anything, except your commitment to yourself and meditation every day. You must give this, as far as possible. Yeah? And then the five commandments I also demand you to keep. And that's all you have to do.
