COURAGE

We can live through anything, we can survive, because if our spirit is strong, we have a noble purpose and a higher ideal. We can just look into that ideal and forget everything else; it's truly like that.

.....

Don't forget the child inside you. Hes is always there, and whenever we call, Hes comes out. Hes peeps out. That is the God nature. That is the nature of purity. We shouldn't worry so much. We shouldn't calculate so much--"If we do this, what will we get in return?" A child doesn't do that. A child never worries about tomorrow.

.....

If we are truly brave enough to forsake everything -- food, clothing, abode and daily way of life -- the saints and great beings will definitely take care of us. Most probably they would test us to the very last second when we are totally breathless, before they would grant us the courage. But they will definitively help us.

.....

Thinking that other people will get the benefit, we forget about our fear. This is the best way to nurture courage.

.....

Whatever you believe is good, stick to it and don't let other people make you waver; because the good example in this world is rare. So make yourself a good example.

.....

Don't be defeated by obstacles and ordeals. Perhaps, we don't know how to react today, so we are frightened and defeated; try again tomorrow. We shall overcome someday.

.....

Don't be so frustrated, just live every moment with all your heart. Whatever you have to do, do it with total devotion. Have faith in God and the grand plan of the entire universe.

.....

An inferiority complex is very harmful to you, and is the greatest obstacle.

.....

You must have confidence! Release yourself from errors, put an end to your preconceived ideas, and set yourself free from the jail of inferiority.

.....

If you didn't have any turbulence in your heart, there wouldn't be any turbulence outside.

.....

We must be brave and be a daring person. We can't lower our heads each time and willingly surrender to every little obstacle.

.....

Q. Relating to what you just said, sometimes a test gets very difficult, and I feel like I have to be very strong and break through obstacles. And then sometimes people say to me, "No, no, take it easy! God will do it." And I should just relax and let it happen. So, how do you know the balance between what you should do and how much you should relax?

M. Okay. Do your best, and the rest God does. After you do your best, then Hes has to do the rest. That's it. And if you succeed already, fine! Then you should be proud and happy. If you have done your best already, there's nothing else you can do. It's not always leaving it to God, of course, because you are here to do things, to learn your own strength. You can always leave it to God, too, then do nothing. But how do you live a life doing nothing? Would you like that? No, it would be too boring. So there are challenges for you to overcome. So, to do it is for you, to do or not to do, to be or not to be.
