practice DILIGENTLY

We have to study again and again. Make firm. Start again. Today I failed. I didn't meditate very well. Tomorrow, next day, I'll make more effort. Always try to strive for better will, so that we can progress in spirit. And we'll become a stronger and wiser person in heaven.

.....

Nobody is going to protect us, if we are not protected by our own spiritual development and spiritual power.

.....

We practitioners should train ourselves to become accustomed to any situation whenever we have an opportunity. Otherwise, we won't know what to do when a situation arises. After we train ourselves well, we can handle any situation. Therefore, we should not just care about physical comforts, even if they affect our spiritual practice. We should meditate whenever we can because it is most precious and beneficial. We should not sacrifice our spiritual practice for worldly pleasures; instead, we should sacrifice worldly pleasures for spiritual practice.

.....

If we are truly honest within ourselves and want to improve or train our sensitivity to the suffering and happiness of others as well as to our own purity and well being, we must always be vigilant.

.....

Just sit anywhere - on the bus, in the park, in your living room, close your eyes and do your meditation. And more importantly, have group meditation every week. Maybe we can arrange different days for different people’s convenience, like one on Wednesday, one on Friday, or one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Whenever there is a great occasion, then we can celebrate and gather together in one place. If it’s not big enough, maybe we try to look for a bigger place. Don’t bother to build a mosque for me, just a storeroom or something will do. So, you know now where the temples, mosques, and churches come from -- from group meditation!

.....

It is best that you practice diligently, truly review the inner self and also concentrate on the inner self at all times. Then there is no need for Master to correct and for the society to temper you.

.....

Have one hundred percent faith and live to pursue spiritual practice. Very soon, you will have results. And when you reap a harvest, you will have greater faith, and hence more fruits.

.....

We must be honest with ourselves. Since we already have started our spiritual practice, we must make it a success.

.....

All I can tell you is practice more. In a few more months you'll understand it differently than what you understand now. And in a few more years all the important questions to you at the moment will melt like snow in the sun. You'll understand everything without a teacher. Whatever you get into your hands from any scripture, you'll understand perfectly. So just be patient with me and let me help you from the root of your wisdom, not from the branch of the tree of knowledge. It takes time for everything to grow.

.....

The intensity of our prayer is what makes it. That's what gets us the answer or not. We have to be like an audience. We have to be wise enough, enlightened enough to watch all the games of the universe, and get out of the suffering.

.....

Glorify God by your own power of meditation and realization. That's the best prayer. That's the best glorification for God, the most significant prayer and the most significant job that you could ever do for God.

.....

If we meditate more and more, finally we know that we don't need anything. Everyday is a miracle for us, and we're happier and more loving everyday. That is the best gift from God.

.....

In this world, apart from our spiritual practice, there is no other place or power that we can rely on. Violent martial arts and nuclear bombs can only destroy people, not win them over.

.....

Take it easy; meditate! And everything will be clear, I promise you, because that's the way I found out. Even to read the books from me is second class, even books from holy Masters; even I answer you is second class; even my lecture - everything is second class. Go inside yourself and find out the great treasure - wisdom, you have, the great intelligent you are. Don't even rely on me, rely on yourself.

.....

People who have plenty of time may not be diligent practitioners, because they think they have a lot of time! "It is all right to take it slowly. I can always meditate later!" They are inclined to become like this. Conversely, people who are busy tend to treasure their moments of meditation. Therefore, don't complain that you don't have enough time. It is not true! Endeavor to arrange your time, check your timetable, and see what is really necessary -- which work is truly worth doing, which person you really need to see, and whether you must address a certain matter. Then we can save time and work.

Whatever we have arranged to do, do it simply, promptly and concisely; then we have a lot of time.

.....

The more we practice, the more alert we should become. Otherwise, we will easily be trapped in one aspect of our practice. We develop new aspects in our practice everyday. If we are trapped in a certain aspect, we cannot move onto the others.

Therefore, in spiritual practice, we must not sink to a certain level. This is why the Diamond Sutra says: Forsake all attachments to reveal our true nature. If we are still attached to a certain achievement, we cannot develop further!

.....

When you practice well, a few words from you can give great blessing to others. Looking at him could give him many opportunities to tie an affinity with the Almighty. These are your magical powers.

.....

To progress faster in spiritual practice, we must forget ourselves; be the lowliest person and do the dirtiest, the most unwanted work.

.....

Practicing is reviewing oneself daily, keeping precepts clearly, doing good deeds and not doing bad deeds, meditating daily, observing our own wisdom, cultivating our own compassionate heart, and realizing the Truth silently. This is then considered practicing.

.....

Practice depends on merits, diligence and wisdom. It does not depend on the outside.

.....

Unless we change ourselves through spiritual practice, we will not be able to avoid our own karma.

.....

You have to work for yourselves, all of you, until you understand what you are, and not rely on anything. Be courageous. Don't put too much importance on your physical beings. Give it enough foods; give the body enough food, enough clothing, enough exercise, but that's it. Make it comfortable and that's enough. Otherwise we'll be forever bound in the physical dimension. Whatever we pay too much attention to, we're bound with that. I also have to work for my understanding. Maybe I work quicker than you, but sooner or later you will arrive.

.....

All the achievements, all the success must come from inside first -- come from our strong mentality, strong personality, strong will. We want to make it better -- we want to improve our life or our situation. We must have the will to wish and with the hard-work spirit, sacrificing attitude, then we can get what we want and appreciate it.

.....

All day long we look outwards at both good or bad. We are influenced by the outside and forget to focus our attention inwards. Therefore, we do not succeed in most of what we do. Concentration is the secret of success. The more we meditate and focus our attention, the more smoothly we can carry out whatever we do.

.....

So if we change, the situation changes. If we have heaven within us, peace within us, then everywhere is heaven, everywhere is peace. That's the purpose of being good, trying to do good, trying to be good, because that's the only choice. Unless we want to stay in hell forever. Well, then I don't know. That's very easy to do. To go to hell we don't have to try. There's no need for effort. It's the most easy way. Most crowded place. So I think it is better to go to heaven. Less crowded. More quiet. More room. More space. Everyone goes to hell, so why not we go to heaven? Just like in the cities, they are too crowded already. Why should we go there? So if we want peace and quiet and tranquility, we go to the countryside. There's more room, more space, the land is cheap and we are in a very green surrounding. It's good for our health and spirit, etc.

The same, huh? So I think we are very wise if we choose to go to heaven. Takes a lot of effort, maybe. It takes a lot of effort now, but if you want to try again later or next life, it's even harder. It adds up more garbage, more bad qualities, and more habits. It's difficult to clean. Now maybe we are already in the thousandth incarnation and if we come back again, one thousand and one, you know, and we come back again one thousand and two. Each life we accumulate more garbage and more bad habits. Then it's more difficult to kick off the habits. Right? So, however hard it is, try this time, try one time.

.....

We're too busy, developing ourselves in scientific aspects, in literature fields, in mechanical success and we do not try to develop the all, complete power.

.....

Through meditating everyday, the mighty benign power form God can moderate or even completely digest any information harmful to our body and mind. This is why we must not stop meditating and studying the holy scriptures.

.....

The heart is important, not the superficial actions. Many people pursue spiritual practice, but some say, "I have practiced so arduously, yet I have gotten nothing in return." Possibly they have not been sincere enough. We should not blame God, we should not lose faith in the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, nor should we doubt our Master. Instead, we should introspect to see whether we have any places or knots that have not been untied. If we have great sincerity, all results will come to us. Even when sometimes we think we are not sincere, still we have to persist in practicing, and rectify it bit by bit. One day the world will give us the sincerity. Sometimes, we are ill, we are in agony, in pain or a bad mood -- all these unhappy situations will wake us up. Therefore, we still have hope.

.....

Os long as we do more meditation, we will naturally come to know the best answer to any problem.

.....

Actually, there is no such thing as fate. It's just a matter of having not done enough spiritual practice.

.....

Meditation is also work. At that time, we are getting our spirit's food supply and energy replenished for us to go out and fight again tomorrow.

.....

The situation in this world is not conducive to our tranquil meditation and calm thinking, but try again and again. In this world, we have an advantage, that because this world is so difficult for us to practice, God's blessing is with us many folds. So we walk one step and the Master Power will walk a hundred steps to help us.
